Choose sides. This absolutely needs to happen.

Oh, and I know the team switch is a thing. That's not nearly good enough -- the other team is always full and even if it isn't it penalizes you for using it.

My idea: Dont penalize players who switch in the first 3 minutes of a match

Team swap should be removed from the game altogether.

Sure, do away with team change mid-match. I just want a reliable way to choose a team before the match starts. You should also be able to choose your team when you're entering the match for the first time because as we all know, at least half the times you'll be dropped into a match that's already underway. (That should be looked at as well, but it's a separate issue altogether.)

When I want to play a particular team -- or I'm being forced to play a particular team or character to deal with the awful, awful, awful challenges -- I don't want any roadblocks to doing so. It's inconvenient and the quintessential example of the opposite of fun. I remain completely shocked that this game got out the door without such an option, especially considering the nightmare situation that challenges are in.

Remember how cool Popcap games were before EA got a hold them? Where'd that go? Let's get back to that level of quality and attention to detail.

Here's how I'd do it... It's something I've been thinking about lately as I understand your frustrations very well... This happens in all modes regardless:

• Players get to choose their preferred role before queuing.
• If there were more plants than zombies, then the system adds "10 % bonus coins" to the zombies side and it keeps increasing it if there were players waiting for others up to "30 % bonus"
• You can also pick "Play Anywhere" and always get "30 % Bonus Coins". This will place you in "any" game mode where there are fewer players to fill the space and you will only get your 30 % more if you finished the game. (Except for maybe... Battle Arena since it needs a different kind of dedication and mental readiness.. Unless it's just me who takes it too seriously.)

This way, people who contribute in filling the gaps will be rewarded with "bonus" and "extra" coins while others who have preferences and always want to stick to a side no matter what, they will get the usual coins with no bonuses or extras. Notice that I have emphasized on Bonus and Extra because you're actually not getting penalized for picking your preferred side, you're just losing a chance to get more coins. (It's up to you how you perceive it though!)

I personally prefer "attacking" in Turf Takeover since most defense teams refuse to contest on payloads/points while I do most of the job. What irks is when half of the team is around the objective, especially after I die trying, when it's overtime and they just don't bother stepping on the objective at all... All my 2k objective score worth of effort to prevent the objective from being captured gets thrown into the garbage bin due to teammates thinking that someone else would step to contest. It does happen the other way around too sometimes, but at least when attacking I have summonable allies that can assist me... Thanks Hypno-Shroom, you are better than some teammates =(

So much this! It is frustrating to see the base surrounded by allies, and no-one thinks to simply step inside and stop the opposing team from capturing it.

Mind you, there are plenty of time when I did step into the base and was immediately vanquished due to being outnumbered, so perhaps its sometimes a better strategy to attack from a safe distance...

Attacking is generally more fun for me as well @GammaX6 . I play both sides anyway so being one or the other doesn't really matter to me, but defending isn't as enjoyable in general.

I do agree that in general we should be able to choose a side, especially if we have challenges to complete or characters to level up. It really needs to be in Ops at the very least.

@Iron_Guard8  OPs also needs a "Vote for Maps" feature after each game. Players should pick which map they prefer from 2 choices or something. This way, PopCap will know which are the most popular maps and which aren't. This would assist them in figuring out why people dislike certain maps.
