Class 'Training Room' and game mode ideas

This is just a quick idea that I had. I think that PopCap should add several different areas where different character classes can put their abilities and weapons to the test. There could be several different sections where several abilities would come in handy. This could be useful for new players as they will learn how to use the characters. These areas can be called 'training rooms' which act as playable tutorials for each character class. Several examples of areas is that in Citron's training room, there could be a timed obstacle course which he needs to use Citron Ball for, in the Cactus' room, there could be floating gnome targets far away in the distance, testing her sniping abilities. There could also be several Zombies that can spawn in the Peashooter's room which he can use the Chili Bean Bomb for.

I also had some ideas for new game modes, too. One is a 'Last Team Standing' mode, in which each player starts with a certain number of lives (probably three or five), and must vanquish opponents. If an opponent is vanquished, they lose a life. If all lives a lost, the player is out for the rest of the game and has to spectate their teammates until the match ends. Whichever team has teammates who are still standing wins.

  • Because it's not like you can't practice all of this stuff and more in the backyard battleground on AI zombies, flag of power, gnome targets, challenges and more... Right?

Yeah, solo is a training mode, you can practice, practice, practice without feeling embarrassed about any lack of skills you have. I also like that you can set-up the teams any way you like, so you can perfect attacks against a single type of enemy class if you want.

I'd like to add an idea for a new gamemode that I mentioned on a previous thread. If anyone has played GW they know about the classic gamemode for gardens and graveyards and team vanquish. My thought is bring back the classic mode except it won't be dedicated to one gamemode. It will work like mixed mode a have a rotation through all the fan favorite maps from the first game's different gamemodes varying from team vanquish, gardens and graveyards, and gnome bomb. This will make the people including me who wanted the old maps to return very happy. Also there will be a rule of not allowing the new charcters pirate, imp, super brainz, rose, corn, and citron. This mode is classic as in it takes place before Suburbia was taken over. Also players could use the different varients for each of the okd characters instead of being forced to play as the stock ones.
