I looked at the Progressometer to see how the event was going and for the red chest, it said "Special Item." Last time, it said LEGENDARY item. Does this mean a crappy scruptious item or something because I need legendary character pieces and *. If so, screw this challenge, Im not participating.
It is pretty much a scam due to Special meaning any of the quest rewards, which have a stupidly high amount of variants for, among other things. It's insane.
Edit: Popcap said in a latest stream that these rewards are only available from Community Challenges, but I still have my doubts. These are the same people who claim to have Q&A sessions, yet never answer questions.
when you people want legendary handed to you. Then there are those who are bored waiting for updates because they have everything and get excited for 1 special item. This is the third time they give a special item and one of them we didn't get it.
Hey, another update. Cracked open the Blue chest and guess what I got? A Gold Silent Slug. Another stupid variant of a quest reward. What was that, Popcap? These items can only be recieved during community challenges? If those items are just cruddy variants of hats I don't want or like, then you can shove it. You can have them back.
I am glad for the Super Rare Foot Soldier weapon skin I got, that was actually nice, but that was the only good thing in the entire pack.
To be honest, GW1's customizations were WAY better than most of the balarky that is shoved down our throats. Whose bright idea was it to have like 7 variants of the same hat? Who honestly cares enough that they want the same hat in Silver, Gold, Gem, Diamond, Scrumptious, and Infinity? At least in GW1, most of the variants were sectioned off in to a "Bling" pack that was completely optional. That kind of choice isn't present now, is it?
I got a nice hat for chomper. It is called Zombies This Way.
It's a large, curved, neon arrow with flashing lights and the image of a brain in the middle. The arrow follows the curve of the chomper's head, and it is pointing towards the chomper's mouth.
