One thing I want to also know is why they are not bringing in new abilities for all the characters.
Buff the sunflower by making her rainbow heal beam do something differently other than being pretty. Like the fact that they kept that in is just nasty. Let rainbow beam heal multiple teamates, but it heals slower than the normal beam, that's the trade off.
Engineer lost an ability.
Cactus corn drop 4 layered area makes it worse than the gw1 version.
Scientist lost two abilities though it gained a nice new one\
The new characters definitely need some new abilities and the old characters need an upgrade themselves.

@SwempZ Oh, so you don't automatically get the new characters, and it's more spending of coins and playing the waiting game...and for 50k packs no less. Figures!
I guess next Popcap will up specialty packs to 100,000 just for a chance at a character piece, because why not, right?
