To answer your main question, yes I absolutely agree that a revival of the series is possible! I hope this comes to fruition, since there has been much more community engagement and feedback sent to the higher ups by our new community manager. We have had lots of silence over the last couple of years, however this has hopefully come to an end. I would assume that the more feedback and requests that EA receive from the community, the more likely this is to happen. I will add some points of my own:
- It's been ages since we have heard anything regarding PvZ 3, and while they should not rush the release of the game, they should do another beta test soon with the content they have currently added and carefully monitor feedback from players.
- I have to agree that even small changes to PvZ: GW2 would be great for the community, for instance, as we wanted the Mystery Portal rotation to change for a couple of years now to add back our favourite modes. We lost support for BfN a long time ago, so even a small amount of maintenance for GW2 would go a long way.
- BfN had a lot of potential, as apparently before development was discontinued, the developers had a lot of content planned for the next few years of the game, such as the unimplemented character, Iceberg Lettuce. Perhaps in future, we could see of this content that was not implemented.
- A potential GW3 in the future could add completely new content and even potentially scrapped content, it could combine features of GW2 and BfN, and it could revolve around completely new ideas. Alternatively, simply adding further support for GW2 and/or BfN would be great for the community.
- PvZ Heroes daily challenges are sometimes impossible to complete now, so it would be great if those affected challenges were tweaked accordingly. It is a great game with lots of replayability and adding some new content would further improve its replayability.
Let's hope the silence has been officially broken!
