Does Mutiplier Decrease After Trial Time is Up?

Word is that your multiplier decreases by .25 everyday you don't play.  Does this apply to the trial since you only have ten hours because I burned mine pretty quickly over a course of two days?  I'll lose about .75 until the game is released tomorrow.
