Failed to retrieve saved data...
One of my friends tried to get on PVZ GW2 but a message popped up saying failed to retrieve saved data, this happened multiple times, now they seem to have completely lost their account.

This error is not unusual, but it is unusual for it to persist.
Lose all their data? This happened to my max rank friends Cheese and Frosty, but their stuff was just reset. Have you tried to restart the game/console?
Lots of reports on this today since the patch. Restarting console seems to work for most.
Had it on PC too. I went and played other stuff and came back and it was fine a little later. I haven't seen it often but it was persistent last night for a time.
- yes happened to me after the patch as well, i play on PC, what solved for me was the Repair Game option within the Origin app, it took nearly 10 mins to finish, then i restarted the Origin app, and was back to normal
