Feedback on the awful new Galactic Gardens

Customer Experience asked that I also share my feedback on the new update here:

New update is AWFUL. There's a massive mismatch between the new Galactic Gardens cards and the first generation cards. It is now impossible to win games against anyone with the new cards, and the updated strategy decks are completely useless when you only have 15-20 of the 40 cards required. So now you have people who either had a ton of gems saved up and/or are willing to fork over actual cash to buy Galactic Gardens cards absolutely crushing players with just the few Galactic Gardens cards we received with the update. This makes it impossible to win any multiplayer games to level up to win more gems to be able to get Galactic Gardens packs which gives no incentive to play the game anymore. The whole look and feel of the new Galactic Gardens is awful as well. The first gen plants and zombies were very creative, clever, and crisp. The new characters are very busy and hard to understand. The new lane "environments" also totally gunk up the gameplay and make the board really unpleasing to look at. Way too much going on. It's confusing and makes me dizzy. Totally ruined what was an awesome, enjoyable game.

IMO, Galactic Gardens are for veteran players, who craving for more complex mechanism after mastering the first gen. Yes, this update is not friendly with new players, which is massive drawback and potentially fails to attract new players.

The main issue is that you cannot select to play only vs players with the same set.
The unbalance in sets makes it very frustrating.

Yes, totally agree with you. Just got to Ultimate League then the update came. Now it's so hard to predict your opponent's move. I also just got a lot of the previous super rare cards and now they are totally a waste against the galactic class.

I would like to suggest that the "environment" trick should only last for 3 turns, otherwise the healing -- that is cactus environment for the smarty class; is forever (or until the opponent changes the environment). Also the environment that protects the one in it, how do you destroy it sooner? The "environment trick" should act like the portal in PVZ 1 and 2 that doesn't last.

The galactic class should have been released in increments so you would appreciate the transition. Should have been introduced like the Event Cards.

    Totally confusing.
