With the new update released, it's unplayable due to reason stated above. Temporary fix was to not update and still play the old 2021 version. Unfortunately, as of today, 3/7/2024 (+8 GMT), game forces you to update your game.
Hopefully this should be fixed ASAP.

Community Manager@OppaiLord I get it. I have my eyes all over Heroes as well as the HD versions. I am awaiting updates on it myself! Hopefully, they update us soon with some good news.
