Fire Chomper

This dude is a beast!! So many vanquishes, so little time!!! LOL!! Love it! May be my favorite next to BBQ Corn. Yup, love the fire characters.

    Do you mean the swallow from a burrow?  When you get underneath a zombie you will see a large bear trap icon.  You press the trigger at this moment to come up and swallow.  This is pretty fussy due to lag, so sometimes you just can't seem to get a lock on it even when the icon appears.  It's broken both ways due to lag - often a chomper can swallow a rocket jumping soldier way up in the air, or a warping scientist, etc.

Some people feel differently, but I think all of the spray chompers are great.  Fire is usually considered the best of them.  Toxic I think the weakest, and chomp thing is pretty serious once you figure out how to play him.

I've started playing GW1 again, just got fire chomper, and made 105 vanquishes with him in a garden ops game last night.

    Any tips on coming out of a Chomper dig and do a surprise chomp? I've seen that done many times in portal/multiplayer but I haven't been able to get that done. I've also had that done to me several times. Fire Chomper led me to explore this character so I'm still relatively new to it.

      When facing a character that can counter your burrow (pirate in a barrel or on cannon, engineer jackhammer or bolt blaster) just exit the burrow and throw down a spike weed then chomp. With all stars if you burrow after them and they run nose first into a wall, wait a second before you eat them. More than likely they’re going to punt off the wall to vanquish you as you come up to eat them.
