Game breaking Wizard Co star glitch....

Maybe....  I dunno tbh but I think it just happened all of a sudden. I wasn't co star with anybody at the time... but ?possibly? had pushed the co star button just as it happened.... was pretty chaotic at the time and needless to say I was taken by surprise.... so maybes???? 🤔🙂

After having it happen a couple of times yesterday, I am absolutely sure that this just seems to happen... you don't need to be co starring anyone at the time. Happened it both Ops and the weekly event last night.
You can still co star, (attach to someone from your present state as co star unattached ball) after the glitch happens to fix it...
but once it triggers during a game it seems likely to do it again.

@asabaida Thanks for the report.  I'm having troubles finding how to get this to occur.  If you have any footage of the issue including the moments before the issue occurs, that would be great.  Are you noticing any patterns for this such as:

Is it certain the Two-Headed Dragon upgrade is needed to get this to occur?

Can you get this to occur with the first use of co-star after spawning, or has it only ever happened after subsequent uses?

Was the link-up icon visible on the target you were casting co-star to?

Does it seem like the target you were trying to co-star to got a vanquish/assist right before you joined up, or have you noticed it occurring when there was absolutely no plants getting vanquished at the approximate time?

Have you mashed the button, pressed it a few times, or pressed only once when the issue occurs?

When it happens, do you know if the ability was just coming off cooldown?

Do you also happen to play with anyone else who knows what you look like from their perspective?  For example, do you look like you're also just a floating ball, do you look like you're just a star without the ball, do you look like the wizard to them even though you only look like the ball?

Ok been playing all morning trying to get the glitch to occur again, while it was happening nearly every game yesterday it is not happening to day... so far. I will continue to play and try and capture some vid for you if it does.

1. I didn't have the glitch happen before I applied the two headed dragon... whether it is responsible I cannot be sure but am trying to test that theory out today. I have a feeling it is though.

2. I think it only happens in subsequent uses. So you co star someone then jump off then suddenly it happens. I saw it suggested that it might be when you jump off then your host gets a kill... and this triggers it. I shall test this also this afternoon if I can get my partner to play. It happens suddenly and always kind of takes me by surprise. It is not something that I personally can make happen. I do notice however if you jump off someone then it happens... you can press C (as in the jump off button) itll return you to the full wizard... however once it happens during a game it seems to continually happen throughout the rest of the game.

3. Yes link ups are visible.... just thinking are they when in the ball on the ground... I think they are but will check that.

4. Well it seems to happen after you co star someone... you jump off, then something happens and it triggers. Someone suggested on reddit that it happens after you jump off and your previous co star gets a vanquish?

5, No don't think I'm a button masher.... and once it happens I try to return to normal wizard asap.
It happens after you have co starred someone and once you leave them, at least for me... and then something will trigger it.

6. Mmmme... cooldown... not sure about this but I guess it could be. I will take more notice of all these things and report back.

7. Ehhhh... Im not sure about this question.... partner hasnt seen it happen to me yet... maybe today we will get an answer to this one too.

I had a similar problem like that. What it does is randomly transforms you as a Co-Star and lets you move around and still use abilities on the floor. It's not really good, as it is really annoying. If you have that problem, you're not alone.

Ok tried to get it to happen again for a couple of days (wasnt on much yesterday) and despite it happening nearly every game a few days ago... it seems I cannot get it to glitch again when we want it to. Maybe they hot fixed it?
Anyway will keep trying... just thought Id let you know 🙂

I had a similar problem except you weren't invincible but it made the co-star ball invisible but the star visible and you were not able to get out of co-star unless you took enough damage to kick you out.

They'll let you know in Battle For Naighborville if they fix it. So don't worry.

Had it happen 5 times now in team vanquish...only after two headed dragon upgrade.  Had it invicible sometimes and others not.  One time I let a chomper eat me and it made the effect like it ate me but I was immune and proceeded to kill the chomper...2nd time in the same instance I let the chomper eat me but this time he did...all over the place.  4 times I was costaring when it happened then one time it just randomly happened.  No other wizrads in the game with me.
