Game Timing Out on Pause
I'm new to PvZ games (I received my first one for Christmas). Yesterday I finally carved out some time to devote to starting the game and I was making progress but got interrupted. After maybe 15-20 m...
@Libits2008No problem, although I will point out one thing. If you were playing Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville on the Nintendo Switch, you have the option to play offline at any time, which should never kick you for inactivity. If you have the option to do this, you could purchase Battle for Neighborville on Nintendo Switch if you want to. The game does not get updates any more, but it goes on a large discount from time to time, so you could pick it up at some point if you wish. 🙂
This is probably the only way to pass the "inactivity" filter.
Odd you should mention the Switch. Here’s a long but happy story that should make you smile…
I worked for my state’s Department of Administration for many years. I retired in December. In my eager anticipation of all this free time when I could game, I fired up my PS3 and dug out all my Ratchet and Clank games. The PS3, however, had become unbelievably noisy…so noisy that the doorbell went off while it was running and I didn’t hear it.
I thought it was on the outs so I posted on Nextdoor Digest (similar to Facebook but for neighborhoods) asking if anyone had a PS3 that I could buy. Someone by the name of “Joe” got back to me and said “I have a PS4 you can have. Happy retirement, Liz!” How did someone from Nextdoor know I was retiring??? Turns out, Joe worked at Administration but at a different location and I knew him well. He delivered it to me the next day! (My wonderful son-in-law later cleaned the PS3 fan and now it purrs like a kitten.)
Obviously, I didn’t have any PS4 games so my kids were thrilled that I had a new platform and they loaded me up with PS4 games for Christmas, PvZ being one.
It’s ironic that I could play on the Switch because Nintendo is my go-to device. For me, a game console is only as good as the games created for it and, for me, that’s Nintendo.
Sorry to have taken up so much of your time but I have one last question. Are there any games for the PS4 that you would recommend that I’d like? Games I love are Ratchet and Clank (I got the latest one!!!), Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, anything Mario, all Lego games and farm simulation games…pretty much anything innocuous. I will never, ever do any first person shooting.
Instead of running PvZ over with my car, I might trade it for the Switch version. Thanks for your time and advice, you’re a sweetie! No wonder you’re a “champion!”
@Libits2008It really is not an issue and I really am happy to help! 🙂
I am not that familiar with PS4, as I am an Xbox player and am new to Nintendo Switch, although you could try games such as Minecraft, or there are most likely many Lego based games that you could try out.
Just a note about the Nintendo Switch version of Battle for Neighborville, whenever you load up the game, you will have the option to play online or offline. If you play online, you will get kicked for inactivity after a certain amount of time not doing anything. If you play offline however, you should never be kicked for inactivity, but do keep in mind that some features of the game will be restricted while offline, and if you have started a match, the match will continue.
Happy gaming!
