Garden Warfare 1 is refusing to launch

whenever launching GW1 the EA App says "preparing game" and then sends me back to my library and I want to know how to fix it. I've tried searching around for information and have found nothing.

so far I've tried:

installing the Directx installer found in the games folder along with the visual C++

Repairing the game files

reinstalling the game

restarting my computer

I last played the game 2 months ago on another EA account (i had rebought the game on this account) and it was working fine at the time so i cannot think of what could be wrong

    Hi @Rioma_1,

    I'm really sorry to hear that you're unable to launch PVZ GW. If you're not getting any error messages and the game is stuck on preparing, there might be a program conflicting with the game or EA app, which is preventing it from functioning properly, or there might be some issue with the permissions. 

    I suggest that you try a Clean Boot to make sure there are no programs running in the background that could be causing this: How to clean or safe boot your computer

    If a clean boot doesn't fix the problem, please try running the game and the EA app as administrator. 

    Let us know how that goes,

    what was the program that prevented it from launching? i'm having the same issue as you

    There was another program that was conflicting with the game, which I didnt realise I had installed still, the game is working now

    @Rioma_1 I got the same issue, and I tried changing the language, and somehow it got fixed.

    I don't believe that this'll fix your problem, but give it a try.
