Gifting?

I think Popcap can increase revenue by adding Gifting to the game. I know people who would happily spend money to Gift Rainbow Stars to their family and friends, especially those who are less fortunate. Nothing negative can come from it, it's not like I'm asking for free costumes, this will only help Popcap!

And maybe add the ability to gift Prize Bulbs too, since players have so many left over that they don't really need! Although,  I could see why Popcap might not warm up to that idea - after all, prize maps attract players to a game and keep them playing, and with that they are more likely to spend money on the game.

  • @shurikeninjaAgreed. By now I have enough coins to completely empty the Reward-O-Tron two times. I'd like to gift some coins or Prize Bulbs to friends.

@ToastedSarnie I think that buying (!) Rainbow Stars as a gift is probably happening at some point since PopCap would earn even more money.
  • As previously mentioned I would truly love to be able to give my earned but not rewarded bulbs, it seems such a waste.
And you are reminded every time with the pop up telling you...
but all I see in my head is: "You are not being awarded another bulb, another bulb wasted!" 😃

Gifting seems like a wonderful idea to do in BfN … only issue I could think of with gifting is people abusing it, such as, a player knows they're not going to complete the prize map, so they proceed to asking every other player (through the wide variety of messages, emotes and whatnot), for prize bulbs (or for coins or rainbow stars), and that may annoy people.

But gifting seems like a very good idea, it's nice to give after all, it could help PopCap with profit in some ways, and we have something to do with all the extra prize bulbs or even coins (especially for new players). 🙂

@ToastedSarnie Sorry. I'm not a big fan of micro-transactions either, but I just felt like it would make sense for gifting to be in this game.
