GW2 en PC renders black screen and chopped audio on startup

Hello:

Once I start the game, it tajes ages since it renders a black screen and remains there

I can hear the intro's very chopped audio in the back

I can only see what's on the screen when I press Alt+Tab, since the screenshot's right.

But no way playing it

I'm guessing some thing with video drivers, since I understand my Radeon HD 5750 is barely INTO the minimum requirements line

If I cannot solv ethis issue I'm still on time for a refund

I'm attaching my dxdiag.txt result

Thanks in advance

  • I know it's not a commercial community, but I mentioned the refund once I realised I wouldn't be able to solve it without a video card upgrade

It's OK. I appreciate your help

The refund is available via robot for the first 24 hours since first execution of the game, so I had to contact a EA customer support representative and I've already got the refund.

So, I could say, Thread closed!

    Bye

Your graphics driver is way too old.  It should be at least updated to last October, when AMD stopped providing new drivers for their HD 5000 and 6000 generations.

Your CPU is just slightly slower than the minimum, and shouldn't be the reason for the non-rendering screen.

           Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU         870  @ 2.93GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.9GHz

Use a Radeon driver from here:

My Spanish isn't the best -- used almost solely for ordering meals at local Mexican food eateries, so the trailing end of the report, with copies of AppCrash Data, is not anything I can work with.

  • Well, according to the vendor, It's up to date.

Do you know of any updates post this one?

  • Yesterday I installed the Crimson Drive (the bottom one in your link), as you can see in this new dxdiag.txt

Same behaviuor. Didn't solve the issue

Anyway, my Video Card has been good from the moment I bought it up to now.

It's natural that tech things get outdated

Nevertheless this is the first game I cannot run. Can do all the GTAs, FIFAs, etc

So, I will try to return this game. I understand this card is not below the minimum requirements line, so I will push for a refund

In some moment I will decide to update my pc. Buy not because of just one game

    Thank you

As noted, I am not particularly fluent in your language.  There is a lot more to a DxDiag than the parts I've been able to review for you.  Your audio drivers were not as old as the video drivers were.  If you are to seek to cancel your purchase and get a refund, this is a Game Player Community website here.  We're not part of the EA business process system.  Refunds are handled on the EA Help Center website (link will follow).

The automatic no-questions asked robot refunds are only good for a quite short time, so you probably have to speak to a Game Adviser about your game's failure to play on your computer.
