Help Why split screen mode, only private game?

Why split screen mode, only private game? Console Playstation4

    Yes, that's normal. You can't play online (that's multiplayer mode) with other people in split screen mode. And the last one obviously is for playing alone without anybody so that's crossed out too.

I also want online split screen!  I don't care if FOV is worse thats the choice of the gamers, call of duty could do it on ps3 don't see why next gen can't do it.  Turn off extra particles if you have to.
