How to deal with Super Stench?

Hey guys, I've really been into playing with buffed up plant heroes such as Rose, Chompilla, and Grass Knuckles, and I've really enjoyed building up plants and letting them loose.

Although I can deal fairly well with how the opponent zombie can destroy certain plants with tricks like Rocket Science and Locust Swarm and one too many Bungee Plumbers, I continuously have a frustrating problem dealing with heroes like Super Brainz and Impfinity when they activate their powerful 'Super Stench' ability.

Don't get me wrong, the 'deadly' trait isn't OP, it's necessary for zombies to make sure plants overpower you if you're fresh out of tricks. It's just that dealing with a horde of 'deadly' zombies can be extremely damaging with low rewards for mega grow plants. My main problem, which hopefully you guys can provide, goes something like this:

Up against Impfinity, a bunch of imps are played before you have a chance to counter and then plays a toxic waste imp. You counter this by using some kind of trick before obliterating the imps with some buffed plants. Nothing too bad, and you gained control again with minimum loss.

But if Impfinity plays imps against your buff plants and yanks out 'Super Stench,' the results get a little messy. You can't take out that 1/1 Imp Ninja with a 3/5 Power Flower without it negatively hitting your play hard.

Main problem: Up against the strong ability, 'Super Stench,' in crowds, how would Mega Grow Heroes counter that to regain control? Do I just give up? (Especially with Super Brainz having lurch for lunch to guarantee a advantageous trade off)

I've tried introducing 'meat shields' like torchwood or sweet potato but they barely come at the right time. Destroying tricks are costly and mostly work on one zombie at a time before your turn must end due to sun restraints.

Anyone experienced with a lawn of 'deadly' zombies?

Ok, I think for Super Grow heroes, try using a Bonus Attacks deck with Re-Peat Moss, you can see those from "zero to hero" become from dead to alive!

Also, try to bring up Flourish and some cheap plants as meat shields, may they just don´t work, but surely that bring up enough control.

And most possible, he is probably using that in cheap zombies, use things like Fire Peashooter or Whip Vine for gaining the battlefield control.

And also, bring cheap instant removal or paralization, Iceberg Lettuce and Whack-a-Zombie are the best options in those occasions, but is fairly easier with a Kabloom Hero.

If guardian, bring things like Potato Mine or Prickly Pear, although the Pear might not be that good, you sure that it counters perfectly the attack.

I hope this helped, If I am wrong, correct me, I am still new into the forums.

  • Yeah, I feel that Kabloom and Smarty is the easiest faction to deal with a field of Deadlies, which gets annoying since each zombie, no matter how small, can pose a big threat to whatever you're trying to grow with a simple Smoke Bomb or Lurch for Lunch.

The methods you suggested are pretty good, it's just that it gets pretty expensive to try kill one deadly zombie at a time. SIGH.

    Thanks for the suggestions
