How to Start PVZ Garden Warfare on an Xbox 360

Hello,

My son recently purchased Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare through Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Download was fine. Once complete, he started the game and then it started to ask Connecting to EA Servers??/ Ok, then came up Terms and Conditions and Privacy policy.

Now it asks about an Origins Account. (Formerly an EA account).

Didn't realize I even had one, but apparently I did at one point. So after going in to my account through the EA website, I made sure my email and passwords were OK.

I mentioned that because on the screen through Xbox LIVE, it has stated that:
"You email address has been discarded. Please provide a parent's or guardians email address. You are about to create a Limited-Access Origin Account (EA). Limited-access account holders can play games, but are unable to use the social features on Origin."

It then asks to enter:

Paren't Email Address:
Password
Verufy Password

Continue

I entered my Origin account, figuring this would be best and once I hit "continue" it says "invalid password".

We tried my Xbox LIVE information, nothing. I tried my personal address and password. Nothing.

What do I have to enter here to allow my son to play this game??

Thanks for your help in advance.

I am having exactly the same problem, i have made sure that the xbox email address is the same as the EA email address but it is still saying it has been desgarded. He just wants to play the game!

  • An Origin account is required to play and is seperate from the Xbox live account. The email used does not have to be the same, but should have a seperate password for security reasons.

From my general understanding for underage accounts it would like the child origin account to be linked to a parent's Origin account or something along those lines.

Since I'm not familiar with child accounts, it may be best that you contact Customer Support: http://help.ea.com/

Well, I managed to figure it out on my own.

I must say, this has been one of the most buggered up systems to play a video game I've ever encountered.

So, since it wouldn't take my email (parent) no matter what I tried, I made a NEW Origin Account for my son and it took.

I used the same email he has for his Xbox LIVE account. Password is new.

very strange why it not only wouldn't take my Origin information, but any other email I put in.

It only worked for a new account.

I also have encountered a huge onslaught of adware and malware hitting my iMac from all sides. That itself took about 2 hrs to rectify.

Electronic Arts, please figure out a better system. Maybe even more secure. Before it's suggested, yes I have the two-stage security on this account. Anytime my son signs in to anything online, I always know about it.

206coolkid...hope this helps you. This FAQ board to me is useless.

    OverclockdToastr....thanks for trying.
