I made cards. Look at my cards. #7

More cards. Again. (Note that this time two of them I didn't do the art for (you'll notice which ones :P ), but that is because those zombies are great veterans of the franchise and deserve their place in this game!

Name: Plague Scientist

Class: Brainy

Rarity: Common

Tribes: Science Zombie

Description: When played: Give a Plant, and all other Plants with a shared tribe -2/-2.

Name: Boss Broccoli

Class: Solar

Rarity: Rare

Tribes: Leafy Plant

Description: When played: Destroy a Professional.

Name: Pole Vaulting Zombie

Class: Hearty

Rarity: Common

Tribes: Sports Zombie

Description: Attacks the furthest away Plant here.

Note: i.e: in a lane where there is more than one plant, this will attack the one at the back first, similar to how his pole allows him to bound over the first plant he reaches in the original game

Name: Zomboni

Class: Hearty

Rarity: Rare

Tribes: Professional Zombie

Description: When this enters a lane: Destroy an Environment here.

Name: Lure Vine

Class: Smarty

Rarity: Super-Rare

Tribes: Leafy Plant

Description: When played: create two 1/1 Zombies in random lanes.

Feedback encouraged. I understand that some of these may be a bit high on 'ye olde power level',  but mainly they're just some concept. Thanks.

  • Zomboni and Pole Vaulting Zombie are super awesome xD

    Plague Scientist seems a little bit op, considering that Extinction Event does almost the same thing and cost the same without the 2/2 zombie, and being a Super-Rare instead of a common one.

    But good work though.

    I suggest not giving them rarities, because exactly like said the plague scientist the first thing that crossed my mind was common...too powerful. And I think that it would be better to see the card dor what it is, not having to rank it(we all do it and don't even realize most of the time)
    Unless that is part of the discussion you intended on...
    That being said, the pole vaulter and zomboni are awesome! Made my day, without a doubt. I'm still grinning like a meatball, all by myself lol. I totally agree with the veterans, like you said, and others should definitely get a card. Balloon zombie too, I don't remember off top of my head...did you make a balloon zombie? I remember I mentioned about some of the og pvz zombies should be event cards, and I said balloon to be able to get over spikeweeds unharmed and whatnot, but I recall a pic like yours. Maybe I imagined? Ill have to look back. But lots of the zombies, and even plants(although they are covered pretty okay)

    I like your boss broccoli too, and I am sure so will plenty of plant heroes lol.

    And then back to raritys again... Why a superrare for the lure? Or did I read it wrong?
    Edit: that lure vine reminds me of a plant that I was thinking...reason why it reminded me is its basically same, except it turns a random zombie into a 1/1 no ability zombie. Like a "not quite yet great zucchini"

    If I could give you more than 1 XP, I would.  Agree that Plague Scientist would be OP as a common, but other than that, you have some very fun and creative cards I'd like to get my hands on!

    In retrospect, making Plague Scientist a Common would probably be a little on the OP side, and though rarity technically doesn't matter, I feel it just makes the cards feel a bit more complete is all, but yeah, 9/10 times it isn't crucial. Thanks for all the feedback guys, as always!

    in future, I want to get as many original plants and zombies from the older games as custom cards, but I thought better to limit it to two in this post (can't be making myself look lazy :P )

    I don't think that the og plant or zombie cards would be lazy, if anything I think that it may be tougher because everyone knows those characters, and has some sort of relationship with them pending on how much pvz people have necessarily have played.

    Make a 3 sun zombie virus cure. All zombies with deadly draw are laid ed to rest. And hip no shroom zombies can't frenzy 3 sun 3atk 4 health

    We can make some broken card ideas like the game already is on Set 3. How can we make this game balanced and fair?

    2 sun plant leaf spring 3 at 6 health aquitic power when a zombie hero draws a card discard the top 5 cards of his deck to the discard pile . Let's make running out of cards a viable strategy
