Infinity time? Rubbish reward system?!

I just finished a proper Infinity time game. I played from wave 1 and I've beaten wave 44, the gnomes killed me in 45. I spent 80 minutes playing this. That was a really long game... I had something around 65k shards maybe? Anyway, that doesn't really matter, because you get infinite infinity chest for appox. 25k. So I thought okay.. I know you can get a super rare customizations most of the time, and they are nice and wonderful.., oh...I was expecting a piece character..I mean.. 65k shards right? But it's the chest for 25k.. So I've prepared myself to face a super rare item... But what i opened was unbelieveable... I got 30 000 coins!!!?!?!???!??!?!!!?? Like are you serious? 30k coins? Well that's fine as long they're added to coins you get from playing this game...I was imagining like 70k coins total? But what I ended up with? 10 000 for playing it!! I've had previously 35k for just playing 25 waves!!! So the reward system just trolled me... I am really mad... Like soon I'll be throwing things around me... 
Got in wave 45, 80 minutes playing and 40 000 as a reward... That is ridiculous..!!

Had anyone same experience??? Because I want to slap everyone who's behind the rewarding system right now... Btw don't get me wrong I love this game, but this was too much

    Yup, the rewards are not worth the mind numbing grind.

    Just got robbed for the first time.  Had 48,800 shards.  Previously that was good for a character piece.  This time I got a lame organic for the cactus.  WTF?!?!?!?

    Played 3 games in a row, and crashed at around 20K shards. The next time I played, hit 25K shards. My friend got killed in the chest room by a singularity, and I got 5k coins. (Almost died to the singularity as well.)

    wow does that now mean the rewards for Infinity mode are now completely random and there is no minimum shard level of 25000.

    You still have to get 25k to receive the Infinity chest, but you're no longer guaranteed a character piece. You may just end up with a customizable piece or a bunch of coins.
