@agentevil007 Thank you for the welcome. I appreciate it! 💓
We appreciate your feedback on the game. What would you like to see changed in the future with the series? What aspects of the game would you like to see returned?
Cheers!
@EA_Shepard Personally I'd like to see the series return to the Garden Warfare lineup (retaining the name, mechanics and artstyle of GW1 and GW2) and I think that is the general consensus as well. Battle for Neighborville had its merits such as a great PvE campaign with its explorable regions, but a lot of people felt let down by certain drastic changes in the formula from the Garden Warfare series as we generally hoped to see a game that would essentially just keep building on GW2 the way GW2 built on top of GW1.
An ideal scenario for a hypothetical new Plants vs. Zombies shooter game would be a direct sequel bearing the Garden Warfare name which would retain a lot of features from the first two Garden Warfare games such as variants and also retain the artstyle which would in turn also allow to potentially return all the maps from GW1 and GW2 while adding new maps and character variants and a few brand new classes. The Garden Warfare series established an incredible gameplay core that people would love to see more of. Some of my personal suggestions would also be to turn modes like Capture the Taco and Soil Survivors from GW2 into permanent gamemodes in this game and also feature more new PvE experiences in a similar manner to GW2 and BFN.
While a whole new game might be a big thing to hypothesize right now, we would also be quite happy to see content updates return to an existing title, especially Garden Warfare 2. This game to this day still remains beloved by many and still retains a decently sized playerbase. When PvZ GW2 released on Steam last year, the playerbase skyrocketed despite it already being several years since the game was last updated. With this in mind, bringing back content updates to the game stands a chance to not only bring old players back but drastically increase the playerbase with new players. The reviews of PvZ GW2 on Steam are very positive with pretty much all negative reviews pertaining to the issues the game has been having on PC with hackers and server issues the game has had a lot of this year as opposed to negative reviews pertaining to anything related to the actual game itself and how it plays.
I am not sure what EA's future plans for this franchise are but this thread is making me hopeful seeing you guys responding to our feedback, which I'd say all of us in the PvZ community really appreciate.
