Sounds like a GPU driver problem.
Make sure they are up to date.
nVidia Drivers :

AMD/ATi Drivers :

Intel Drivers :
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx

If nVidia and up to date. Go to 3D Properties in nVidia Control Panel and default them.
If AMD go to Catalyst Control Center and Default 3D Properties.
