Is There A Particular Reason for the Update Delay?

Let's be honest here, this Rose thing is ridiculous. I know there's an update planned to fix it but....EA is a MASSIVE company, and the hot fix exists for a reason. Right now several of the multiplayer modes are all but unplayable because of the mass amounts of people playing as Rose (and then continuing to stay on the plant's side). So why wasn't it a hot fix? It's one thing for it not to be a day one patch, but it's been out for four days now. They should've released a hot fix by the third day at the latest so is there a particular reason for the delay or....?

  • We don't even know if GW2 has a system in place to do hot fixes, if not they need to come up with a fix then send it off to certification by their respective platforms before it can be sent out and that can take over a week.

  • The reason is that they want to know how many people leave the game before the patch.

    So ridicolous..

Having played in a quite a few games there is defiately an issue with the Rose but what?

From reading any number of posts about the Rose there are a lot of suggestions about how people would "nerf" it.

I imagine that the reason they haven't announced what they are going to do yet is that they are still running through all the data.

They will have to be careful as a too heavy nerf bat hit and we will have a character that no one will use or worse than that we might end up with a zombie character that now runs riot over all the plants.

Give them some time.  A few weeks to a month.

I used to play the Chemist (GW1) pre nerf and Oh the fun i had.  However he got hit with a nerf and was more properly balanced. So i would say play the as the Rose and enjoy her awesomeness and play against the rose and try and survive 🙂

If you play the Rose in her current form you're the literal scum of the Earth. She doesn't need to be nerfed she needs to be rebalanced and since you said you weren't sure what the issue is the basic point most people are upset about is the fact that she received a considerable damage buff in addition to having her homing shots have a drastic increase of how well they home. I've seen those shots turn corners before. Some feel her abilities are a bit overpowered as well because her stun attack lasts for 5 seconds. In comparison the Engineer's stun lasts for 3 seconds and the Chomper's stun lasts for 2 seconds. Her arcane magica ability turns her invincible but lets her attack at the same time. I think her balance will be better once she's had the homing and her damage decreased.

Point of this thread though: EA should've released a hot fix reverting her back to her Beta stats. Then they could've worked out the fine tuning after that.

Also you are the literal scum of the Earth if you're playing Rose right now. You're ruining the fun for everyone else.

Probably the only reason behind it we'll get. Although if that's the case, that's a HUGE overlook on EA's part. They've made multiplayer games before. They know it needs a hot fix system.

Yeah but at least they'll release belated game conten- I mean- free DLC, to try to balance it out. Star Wars Battlefront.

What the devs don't seem to understand is that they are HURTING their product big time. How many people have already left game because multiplayer is not much fun right now?

Sure some might come back after the fix to Rose but there are a lot of good games right now to play and I think most will have already moved on to something else. I don't wanna see this game fizzle down in a month or so I want it to stay active for years.

I can't for the life of me understand why it takes so long to revert the stats, some simple numerical values in the code, back to beta levels.

The devs are blowing it and this game is already leaking players each day. I don´t see the sense of urgency.
