This latest garden warfare update for the xbox one is full of bugs and has completely ruined two player split-screen gameplay. The graphics and game landscapes are a mess. The characters can walk through solid parts of the landscape as you try to walk around, and don't adjust to stay above-ground when the landscape raises, so it looks like your character is sinking in quicksand and you can't see your gun target. Even worse, the zombies don't actually attack. The icon appears to tell you they're coming, but they never attack. If you follow the zombie icon in the direction they're supposed to come from, you'll find them just standing there completely still. The same levels we'd enjoyed a day before are now completely unplayable. It's a nightmare trying to contact EA about this on their website. We just spent $40 on the game a week ago and had been having fun with it until this happened. What a rip off! Clearly they barely tested this update before forcing it on us. We will be wary of dropping more small fortunes on future poorly engineered EA releases. Slow down and make quality products, not just profits!

Is this happening for all maps or a specific one?

You gotta give more description on how your problem keeps occuring such as: What map do you play on that makes the glitch happen?This happened to me only once and then it never happened again. I've also been playing 2 player split screen ever since the dlc came out and I've never encountered the glitch you are having.Maybe try uninstalling the game then reinstall it afterwards. Don't worry about your progress in the game since your progress saves in the server.

Pretty sure something similar happened to me. Think the map was Sharkbite Shores when it first happened. Essentially it appears that your character spawns before the map geometry does. The geometry fills in after you spawn and you end up within the geometry. It's happened to me a few more times. I assume it's happened during Gnome Bomb and not Garden Ops due to the spawn point it happened at. I can't recall if this happened on any other map, either. That's just the one that came to mind.Also getting disconnected and kicked from games more frequently since the update... that's Garden Ops and G&G.

Just purchased this game to play split screen with my girlfriend and im having a similar problem, all maps that ive tried so far. Im not falling through the map, but zombies dont attack and just suicide. Currently at wave 9, and we havent touched our controllers. Tried rebooting, no effect (perfect wave as im typing this - onto wave 10). Ill be returning this tomorrow if I dont see a response from EA on here. It's not being a **bleep**. It's refusing to pay for broken product. And you know, after the whole BF4 (gf just fell through the map - THIS IS RIDICULOUS) fiasco, am I suprised?Nope.

I'm located in Ontario Canada and I'm pretty sure my console is set to that. Tomorrow I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling the game just as something else to rule out. Not sure if this helps but more refined details steps of what happened was that I turned my console on (which I haven't in several months) and it did a 1.5 GB download patch for the XBOX. Then put the game in, started the install, while it was installing I was playing around with the minigame. I can't remember if it had to download an update; Once installed went straight into split screen co-op, both of us selected peashooter and the rest of the details are mentioned in my previous post

Do any game modes other than Coop/Splitscreen work?

I haven't tried multiplayer but I have tried Garden Warfare playing solo (forced the games to invite only), normal difficulty and these issues occur.

You should try some other game modes and see if there are problems there too. That might help determine whats going on.
Something else you can try if you like is Delete all content (saves and your rank and coins are on the cloud) and reinstall.

I uninstalled, re-installed and this time didn't play the sandbox game while it was installing and the game is working properly.
I'm glad it's fixed but geez, brutal.

I am in th US, just got the game for my son for his birthday. Completely worthless. Large areas of ground render out to look like dirty green water, step in the green water fall through the map and get a nice play under everyone else. It is horrible. The zombies just stay I. Spawn space, sometimes they are invisible.

Two years since this was reported and still causing players problems. Having reinstalled the game it seams to be ok.
