Let me ask you all: Why do we play this game franchise?

I just want to ask,

Why are we playing this game?

So, as we all know, devs have permanently removed all variants for this game, and will not add them in the future? Why Popcap? For competitive reasons?

If I wanted a competitive game, I could play almost anything else. TF2, COD, Battlefield etc.

There are two reasons most would play this, the feel and theme, (Which is kind of hard to screw up), and the character variants. Not many other shooters have such versatility in classes as GW1 and GW2, and you are scrapping that for BFN? And for what, to modernize and make more competitive? What kind of nonsense is this?

At the end of the day,

WE PLAY THIS GAME FOR THE CHARACTER VARIANTS.

Give them back to us, or I might as well quit. At the bare minimum add elemental upgrades.

Devs, this is honestly my number one concern with this game. Fixing it is a necessity.

  • I play the PvZ shooter games because they are fun and family friendly. I also love how you can heal other players in these games. Great thread by the way. 🙂

  • Like many of the posters stated, I got into the game because the kids in my family loved it and finally dragged me into it. I keep playing because it's fun and silly and clever and challenging. Community events were fun and I like many of the cooperative aspects in the game. It's been going so long it even has a nostalgia factor going for it now. The new game still needs some work but I'm happy to help that along if I can and play while they work out various kinks, big and small.

  • @YeetYeetGw2 I would play this game much more if the balancing was good and it didn't crash as much, but as of right now I feel its way to biased towards zombies with them having characters like scientist (don't try and argue that a character with good damage at all ranges, amazing mobility, and okay support capabilities is fair), super brainz, and engineer. Whilst plants generally have more mediocre characters, plus the game crashes far too often.
