Lets fix Chomper
Alright Chomper needs some work, since he's the only melee class the Plants have and I feel they need a stronger close range offense character. A Chomper should be feared, atm he's just one huge crit...

Chompers isnt designed like a frontline class, this is because he hasnt any way to make pressure from range, he still have to hide when someone is shooting at him, because you have nothing to trade back, so... lets make him an assassin class.
Scientist is an assassins, he has two warps, one of them can be used for killing people and the other one in order to get away from fights, you could do the same here but giving counterplay to your opponents.
Whenever you swallowed a person and your burrow is on cooldown, you can have access to a special burrow after few seconds (the seconds should be decided but taking counts Hot Rod Chomper movespeed buff and make it like you can burrow after his run.
This special burrow lasts ... 25% of the base one burrow?(i dont know how could lasts in order to make it balanced) and you CANT EAT people.
give an assassin a way to escape from fights instead of going just for a 1 x 1
give counterplay to opponents. you can use this when you've eat a person after some seconds so you are still killable, but if you succeded to assassin the right target in the right moment you can make yourself safe behind the ground and wait your team-mates to cover you while being in a risky position.
- His kit will be more teamwork based
- solved his problem about going for 1x1 in each case and make the character more worthful to play
- there is still some counterplay
