By adding these legendary character upgrades, the game has something which can be grinded for and purchased as well, without it simply only being cosmetic, and on top of that they have cosmetics as well which somewhat match the character's upgrade as well, which is a really cool idea.
This is not a cool idea. Lets start from the beginning..... GRIND IS BAD!
Playing game for fun, and as you want and when you feel to play doesn't work when you HAVE TO GRIND, You have to launch game every day to do daily challenges, you have to do character specific challenges OR you have to play 24/7 to earn enough price bulbs! And its okay if you don't gring and won't get some cool cosmetic, its still just a cosmetics, but an update is not JUST a cosmetic, its differnet working weapon that can make feel character in different way!
That update should be earnable ONLY by leveling that character up! Make it grand master price. Don't put it in a freakin price map, when you have only one month to earn that upgrade or else spend stars.
Upgrate itself is good, but it made in all wrong ways. Its in wrong place to earn, its in wrong place to use, puting it in 7 dots buff and asking 5 dots, WHYYYY, HOW IS IT AND UPGRADE! You do more damage but shot slower, its differnent way to fight but but not exactly better one!
Most players have more than 0 stars so in the case that they can't play moderately for 2-3 weeks and get it in the prize map they won't even need to "grind" for a whole month.
It's also fair for it to be 5 Points. However, it depends on the DPS of the upgrade (if it's balanced) Imagine if Fire Pea was in this game. It does less damage because of fire damage. However, ignoring the horrible balance of GW2, in that game you had to grind so much and be destroyed by the RNG gods to have a CHANCE of getting it. Not to mention how you can still use 3 upgrades. Z7 Imp can have 3 upgrades. Iron Citron can have 3 upgrades. Commando Corn in BFN? He's got a shield when he aims, but he's only got 2 Points left. It's certainly a strong upgrade, but I'd say it depends on how balanced the DPS is.
