Briar Rose is no different then Zombot Sharktronic Sub. Ok little sharky costs 2 more but is a 5/5 that grows in strength for each plant that get destroyed. And if a plant takes damage it is destroyed. It also can be played on water. Briar Rose must be played on land making her a target for every card that can be played and does not grow in strength with each death. If her cost is increased how much more should the shark be increased for his extra abilities.
it actually is different because birar rose cna for example destroy zombies through armor or shields as the one of battlecruiser or coach which is rather good. Also sub works on all zombies...not just flowers. This enables some combos with....say firecracker zombie. so sharktronic has a TON more synergy options. rose is just a better on-curve play

I will give you that for sharktronic to work the plant must take damage, but my point was that the Sharktronic is far stronger on the Zombie side as it will destroy any plant that is damaged, will grow in strength with each plant death, works with all zombies, has ambious, and has higher strength/defense all for 2 extra brain. That is a lot of extras for 2 brain. I will give you that the Rose only needs to put our a 1/1 flower to defend, but anything with strikethrough will damage her and you can not hide her on the water to restrict how can hit her.

You are talking about a 4-cost LEGENDARY vs a 6-cost LEGENDARY...
They are both BALANCED...
When Rose is in play if a zombie creature in ANY WAY hurts a flower, it's dead... Rose is a 3/4 for FOUR... she creates MASSIVE early game Tempo swings, and can EASILY win you the game if you play her in the right deck... AND you can wipe the entire Battlefield with her... TWO TURNS before the Shark hits.
THE REASON that the shark is a 5/5, and gets the attack Buff, and is amphibious... is because he's a full 2 MORE cost...
You can only wipe the field for a full field clear with him with the Barrel Zombie, or Fireworks zombie... which means that either you have the Barrel zombie in play the turn before and it doesn't get hit... OR you would have to play either the Barrel zombie or the fireworks zombie AFTER the shark hits the field AND the shark has to survive either combat or removal...
The only other option for instant clear is to play the shark, then the fireworks on the same turn, which would be turn NINE...
Sharktronic is aggressively coated and stat'd... but no more so than Briar Rose.
The key is to learn what decks would use it, and play around the possibility of seeing it hit the field...
MOST plant decks stack tons of removal... Personally, I generally always keep and emergency squash, sizzle, whatever in my hand for such occasions...
Both cards are fairly balanced...- Anonymous9 years ago
That was my point. I was not trying argue that shark should be raise in value just trying to show that Rose was fairly priced for what she does.
