After Town Center zombies (Grains!), I know we have other stuff that needs to be done first (balance, optimization, controls), but we need more of these free roam regions! They could use some tuning, and we are getting some, but they're worth it just for the jokes and the exploration.
I really like the PvE areas and the stories they tell. But i have also experienced fatigue multiple times. The grinding is too much. All while i do like challenges.
Those 2 last random boss encounters for the medals took me at least 5 hours to complete. Running in circles until i just had to stop trying.
Now i am still missing 499 tacos for the Sunflower gear because i had to spend some here and there, especially the hard diamond gnome battle. But all that is left is a way too difficult dog delivery. Unless i blow some mind really close to the well. Or just random skirmish that also take a lot of time to get some tacos out of them.
So i am not sure how all of that turns out once i am back with the zombies and more tacos. They should again have gear for at least 1300 tacos, but this time i would not need the gnome maps.

The elusive foes are one of my least favorite parts. It reminds me very much of looking for rare mobs in EQ, and was a major roadblock to getting things done in that game. We don't have 24 hour spawn timers with placeholders here, but I'd prefer to see them be more common, have some way to spawn them (like finding a hidden switch to click as an example), or other method to make them less irritating for people.
They are reducing the resource cost in the big patch which is great. The gnome boss fights were my least favorite at 50 a pop. I'm so adverse to losing the resources without beating the boss that I've been watching videos on the fights beforehand to make it so I only have to pay it once. The cost for the jumping puzzle gnomes may be cheaper, but some of those are absolutely aggravating (I loathe jumping puzzles), and this is made worse if you're helping someone who is hosting as the lag makes hitting the moving platforms without suddenly falling off a nightmare.
The dog deliveries are not a favorite either. The Yeti/Marigold doesn't hang out long enough, are too evasive, and then picking up the dog and being unable to use so many abilities makes it another one of the low points of the PvE areas.
If/when they add more free roam regions, I'd like to see some of these lower points addressed. I'm loving this stuff even with all this being said, just feel it could be improved. Being someone who used to play a lot of MMOs, the game never feels grindy to me, but I can see why it would be to others!
@Iron_Guard8 How do you deliver the dogs? I have no idea about those things.

@YeetYeetGw2 You have to vanquish a Yeti or Marigold. They spawn a crystal dog when defeated that you have to pick up. You then have to carry that dog to the well without being vanquished, but carrying it you can't jump, sprint, or use abilities, and I'm pretty sure you don't regen health either (may be remembering wrong on that last bit). There will be a yellow circle around the well and once you reach it, you get a little cutscene, get your reward and then are back to normal.
Some reports are that you can't turn the dog in before you've talked to the well, but I can't confirm that.
Ok, Thanks, Is there a well in every PvE area? Or just Mount ?

Every area (so far) has one.
@YeetYeetGw2I think that's right that you have to find the well first.
Edited: They're marked on the area maps once you find them, but they're usually fairly close to the first person you're told to talk to or building you're sent to.
Dealing with the jumping gnome platforms was an absolute nightmare whilst playing with friends. The lag made it horrendous, as you well noted. For anyone else having this problem, you can work around it by using a drone to pick up the gnomes.
