Need help with gpu and driver? In PVZ

My GPU is better that what is minimal on the webpage for PVZ Battle for Neighborville it has GeForce GT 750 when the required is GT 640 yet when I go to run the game it says I need to update my driver to version 430.86 or better and says to go to GeForce.com which I did and updated it to the best possible driver with my current GPU which gave me version 426 yet the requirements claim that I should be able to run it. Any suggestions to how solve my issue.

    @lerr_taco_bob_64  Yeah, now I see it, and you're right, the most recent driver was version 425.31 from April.  I would guess that sooner or later, there will be a driver released for your card that supports the game, but when that will happen is anyone's guess.  Or maybe EA will come up with something.  But in the meantime, there's unfortunately no way for you to update, and therefore probably no way around the error.

    I'll ask around though, and maybe someone will be able to help you further.

    @lerr_taco_bob_64  I've moved your post to the PvZ Neighborville tech section.

    When I go to Nvidia's driver page:

    https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

    and select a 750 (Windows 10, standard, game-ready driver), the Search button turns up a driver with version 436.15, released August 27th.  Are you not seeing this option?  Sometimes it's necessary to do a manual search instead of letting the site, or another app, automatically detect your driver.

    If you do have this driver and can't play, please run a dxdiag and attach the results to a post here.

    This would be my fault, and if it is the reason for the game not working it would be unfortunate, but I forgot to mention this was on a laptop so it needs to be in the 700m series (notebooks) to be able to select the GT 750M, thx for the help though so far, but is there anyway to get it to work with a laptop of this caliber?

    @puzzlezaddict Thank you for your effort and time. I am having the exact same issue: Three laptops, with 680m, 650m and 920m respectively can't play the game due to driver version incompatibility. A really bad idea to enforce such a new driver as a hardcoded prerequisite, at the same time when the "Founder's" edition rewards you for logging in daily during early access. As you can imagine, I will not be able to get any of these rewards while waiting for a (hopefully) suitable driver.

    @lerr_taco_bob_64 It is so unfair for the players who bought the foundation version, but who cannot played it and get the reward, just because the required drivers version is higher than the one we can update to. I really do think EA should give some help to players cannot update to this version.

    This is a known issue? Why isn't it fixed already. Somebody screwed up big-time. How do you release a game without a driver, particularly when the game is dependent on that specific driver...

    Some possible reasons

    1. The game has a fatal bug that affects performance; a last minute hack is to limit the game to only new drivers so you limit the game to newer higher performing computers (no mobile drivers limits even more to just desktops). This buys you time to figure it out.
    2. The game actually needs a custom driver (?), which is expense to make for every computer for the past decade. So you put out one and see who complains, then  make a driver for whatever the largest group they are. 
    3. You are somehow bundling the game with computer companies and this is backhanded marketing to make you buy a new computer.

    Please make a driver for a Clevo P370EM with an Nvidia GTX 970M. This laptop powers my HTC Vive just fine.

    Yeah at this point i'm really desperate,there's nothing i can do, and i'm going to have to watch this game sleeping in my origin games. i've been asking for help everywhere i went that was nvidia or pvz bfn related but it seems no one has made it through this error,it's a shame,i wanted this game so bad. Thanks for all the help anyways,you guys are awesome 🙂
