@Iron_Guard8I feel like the prehistoric peril one should instead involve zomboss trying to control ancient dinosuars and plants have to find perfumeshrooms to cure them, maybe a boss fight for zombies against a chomposaurus like that play in seeds of time.
Another area idea: The gnomiverse. Thanks to the help from their friends across time, the plants are able to to destroy a majority of zomboss' z mech army and cut off his contact to his future self.
In a last desperate effort to maintain power zomboss sends his troops to an unknown dimension he had stumbled across to gather resources to power his armies for a milliniea and eventually try to learn the secrets to how the gnomes control time and space! Plants however would learn of this attempt and follow the zombies through in an attempt to stop them and learn the gnomes secrets to end the war for themselves. Both sides would have bases across the barren landscape with destroyed dino and cat mechs stranded about (1 mission could involve reparing it). The gnomes and singularities would be a constant threat and would attack both sides in increasing aggression. Kind of more of an endgame area idea.

@stukapooka I'm actually working on a separate Gnomiverse post as I want it to be its own thing, and have 2 versions of it in the works. I'll hopefully post it some time next week. I have a few rough drafts saved in my documents folder, so there's more to come.
For the prehistoric one, Chomposaurus would be a great elite boss, replace the prehistoric palm with that!We have a ton of options for places to go as both sides, so will add more later too, just using PvZ2 worlds alone we have more to visit, and we can easily go beyond that!

Chomposaurus just makes too much sebse with how Many bones are lying around in gw1&2, why did bfn only give us normal dinosaur bones what?
Despite hiw I feel about pvz 2 nowadays the introduction of time travel and space ultimately gives the franchise more potential than a suburban setting does( I'm not saying I don't like simple suburbian maps). I really hope we get a space map again.
