No - I couldn’t disagree more.
GW2 had community events and daily challenges that could be completed in a timely manner so that completionists had a chance to earn rewards without playing 6+hours per day. Inherently, the community as a whole benefited by people being online more and servers staying FULL. Now, many of us are forced to play modes or characters we don’t want to in order to have achieve the rewards BfN has to offer. This results in many people not playing PvP modes as often and is counter-intuitive to community building.
I made a large reply in the other active thread discussing this topic further... but in short, I politely/passionately disagree with ya.
EDIT: you said you had to be good at the game... that insinuates anyone not completing the map isn’t good? I digress... truly.
😊👍
- 7 years ago@spIash_damage You had to work long and hard to get the same rewards as a 7-second bounty. That isn't fair at all to the player who played online. The xp earn rates are awful you are not wrong. My main point was that people that play the game in general should be rewarded with good stuff. Bounties did make it really easy to get bulbs, but it made playing pvp, the games main focus, kind of irrelevant. Why would I tryhard in a pvp game for 30 mins when I could just kill solar sisiters in 7 seconds and be rewarded the same stuff?? They badly need to adjust xp earn rates. I'm prety sure the only reason why people managed to complete the last prize map was because:
1. People abused the broken bounty method
2. Daily and weekly quests were bugged upon release and gave people new missions the instant they completed the last.
Nerfing Bounty Hunts was a genius decision for PopCap to make. They just need to heavily adjust xp earn rates in general. I do agree that it is very difficult to earn xp now and its is 100% gonna be really tedious and grindy to complete this new prize map. I think players who play the pvp should get better rewards than offline. The game is harder in online matches because you are fighting people, not bots. The pve SHOULD 100% also be a viable source of xp and coins, but it should never be better than online play. xp earn rates need serious work.
*pls im not hating on anybody its just my opinion. not saying anyone is bad.- 7 years ago
With all of the given nerfs, what is the current most viable way to get xp? Ive been grinding in pvp all day and only have 30 bulbs. Unless you can put in days at a time, i see the prize maps being impossible to complete with the current low xp rewards.

Also consider using the XP Machine which can be activated 5 times per day I think.
- 7 years ago@chogath_player We all have different opinions & atm a lot of us are disheartened. It's fine to disagree, we all just need to try to be careful how things are worded so offence isn't caused, don't worry 👍
Players who repeated bounties to get xp didn't abuse the system, because it is/was a legitimate way of earning xp. Nor is it an indication of skill. With the way PvP is, in terms of rewards, buggy character & system performance, team-swapping, empty lobbies etc, etc, repeating things in PvE would've made sense & there are lots of people in PvZ who have preferred the PvE & private/solo play options we have in GW2 but are sadly no longer an option.
I completed the prize map just in time & without repeated bounties (unless it was the best way of doing a daily challenge) but I have more time than a lot of people & I HADN'T finished all of the PvE regions so did some of those & mainly stuck to Ops which gives better xp than TT. Nor have I mastered all my characters, so I'm still gaining levelling xp.
My personal view is that the PvE rewards should be lower after the 1st completion, but dropping by 90% is ridiculous - maybe drop things TO 90%. Reduce the xp needed per bulb, give us more challenges to complete, put unearned customisations back into Reward-a-Tron at the end of each Festival, would be my suggestion.
GW2 challenges had variety & a good choice, you could do a few or all in a short space of time as suited you. Community challenges brought everyone together to achieve, but if you missed out, it wasn't the end of the world because you knew you could earn the same things another time. We usually did complete though, because at the end of the day, the key difference is that GW2 was (is) FUN . . .
Sorry, sorry, AGAIN for length! 🤦♀️😆 - 7 years ago
@chogath_player Did you play GW2?
I say that with 1,000% respect.
GW2 had the perfect recipe for rewards.

Yes I have played GW2. That was a more polished game only because it had been out for a long time. I understand BFN is a new release and know for sure that given time, BFN will be a much better game than GW2.
