You get an option to play by yourself in giddy Park yet when my wife and I jump into ops mode we are stuck with 3 strangers we have no inclination to play alongside. Gw2 got it right as far as giving us many options that didn't involve people online, we are not all obsessed with playing with people around the world,
I agree, I would love to see computer controlled A.I. bot usage in this game. Garden Warfare 2 did very well in this respect with how most multiplayer modes could be played entirely with and against bots. As well as Garden/Graveyard Ops with summon-able bots, choose-able classes, and even the ability to swap between them at any point. Even the pvp multiplayer modes with bots allowed custom team composition, difficulty, and crazy settings.
Sorry, misread your post at first. I would also like to see the AI modes expanded like in the previous games, not just Giddy Park. There are so many great customization option that could be offered through the portal and I really hope it is expanded.
Edit - another consideration for this is children playing. Just like adults have preferences for whether they want to play with people they don't know online, so do kids and possibly so do those kids parents. I think this is a safe game for it and don't have any problems with the kids doing it. However, I have a kid that doesn't like playing with people she doesn't know. This makes most of the multiplayer modes unenjoyable for her so she doesn't get to play them. She has enjoyed the AI versions in the previous titles and I think she would enjoy them here if given that option.
Agreed. I like being able to choose to play with AI or other players.
My hopes are that they want to add this into the game at a later time. The online play gives them feed back so they can balance the game better. Just my opinion though.
I really enjoyed the solo play in GW2. It allowed you to practice characters and create modes to complete quest efficiently.
I'm planning to buy the game as soon as this is added but can't find any recent news on the topic, has anything changed since the last reply to this thread?
We play offline ops in the OPS PVE area's. What I really wish they would fix, is the ability for 2 split screens to join together (4-play local game) like you could in GW1 and 2, and I wish there was a BOT mode for the Turf Takover, so I can just play with my kids in that with bots controlling the other team.

In Town Centre for Plants or Zombies, it is in Pressure Pier in the lighthouse.
In Mount Steep, it is located at Rocky Flats near the truck.
In Weirding Woods, it is located at Z-Tech Factory in the forested area with lots of trees!
