Origin Overlay + PvZ Garden Warfare problem

Hey,

PvZ Garden Warfare is the only game i have in Origin so far.

I wanted to play it with my brother so i tried opening the origin overlay to invite him to the game.

So i hit Shift+f1 but the overlay wouldn't open, and yes, i did enable it in the game-settings.

Furthermore nothing happens when i hit the "invite friends" button in the game itself, and there doesn't even appear an invite friends button in the garden ops lobby, as it does at my brother's PC.

At least my brother can open the overlay though, so he tried to invite me, which worked partly. I got the invitation but as i joined his game, he gets kicked out of the game and i get the message that there are connection problems. Same thing happens when i just join his game by using the friends bar ( not the one in the overlay), without any invitation.

So basically, i can get him kicked from the server whenever i want. But what i rather want is, to play PvZ with him together, so i hope you can help me.
