Hello EA_David
As far as I can tell there are two sides to the performance issues:
Client side:
What most people are experiencing are constant frame drops with seemingly no cause. Personally, I experience frame drops in singleplayer and multiplayer. Singleplayer runs better than multiplayer. Multiplayer is borderline unplayable sometimes. I have tried all the ingame settings from low to ultra and nothing seemed to have an impact. I use Rivatuner to give me detailed hardware readouts and what I see is that the framerate drops occur even though my hardware workload barely exceeds 80%. (Which is still quite high for my system).
Server side:
What makes multiplayer so hard to enjoy is the lag originating from the server. Throughout all multiplayer matches I experienced a constant stuttering coming from the server. I assume that this is indeed coming from the servers since it affects the usage of abilites. Using Space Cadet's Gravity smash will cause you to seemingly teleport through the air. When playing in singleplayer this ability works very smoothly. Same goes for Hyper Pea and Super Hero's jump. Hit detection is also a massive flaw. Hit's don't conncect on regular basis. The lag is also noticeable when sprinting for example, where the whole game just slows down without impacting the framerate. It also happens very often that you shoot enemies that already show an empty healthbar, but they still take damage and die a few seconds after that. I can garantie that these issues do not originate from my side.
These problems are felt by a wide range of people:

I really hope I could help. Please give us detailed patch notes in the next 6 weeks telling us specifically which problems you tried to fix so we can give even better feedback to you should these problems continue existing or should new issues arise. Thanks!

I agree with the issues.

when I was doing the gnome platform puzzle by the river, I had a lot of stuttering, causing me to fail many times. One major problem I had was when I try to jump onto the first platform, I would stutter and end up kind of stuck on the rocks on the ledge underneath the platform, then fall into the river. I actually want my tacos refunded or at least be compensated with tacos. My origin account is superFrum.
I tried lowering in-game settings, but it actually seemes to make it worse. closing running programs did not help.

Tremendous CPU burden and unreliable controls.
Really looking forward to seeing how will they address this Pc situation, more specifically how fast.
Being Constantly disconecdisc from the server mid gameplay gets incredibly frustrating.
They do realise that if these issues are not dealt with in time, the game will start dying at a rate that not even f2p ia going to revive it.

Good morning SirFabbs.
Sadly the server side problem is exactly my problem. I don't know what to do. I thought the whole time it is my connection until I have read your comment.
Yesterday I bought PVZ BFNV and I had no lags in the multiplayer. But since I came online today I have got lags in any multiplayer mode. I don't know why it worked yesterday perfect and now I can't hit anything because of the lags.- 6 years ago
Actually it isn't fully fixed, I launched my game this morning and it was unplayable with DX12 and threaded optimization on, I had to restart my game and it was smooth again. Something is indeed wrong with the game.

@SirFabbsHello SirFabbs.
I had this problem too. But I found out that this problem had nothing to do with the server in my case.
Yesterday my PC did strange sounds once I played the game on ULTRA and 3840x2160 resolution.
So today in the morning I changed the game graphic to HIGH and the resolution to 2560x1440.
Then the graphic was lagging a bit and I had strong lags in every multiplayer mode.
So now I changed the graphic back to ULTRA but it didn't help.
And once I changed the resolution back to 3840x2160 the lags disappeared.
So it seems like it has got something to do with the connection between my TV and my PC.
My TV's resolution is 3840x2160 and has to downscale the games resolution if it has been lowered than the usual TV's resolution.
So I recommend everyone with a problem like this to try many different resolutions in the game to see if the laggs disappear.
