Summarize your bug I tried to play Plants vs. Zombies and it opened up an old Origin style windows says Could Not Activate. Both sign in and Enter Product key does not work. I bought the game years ago. I tried repair and reinstall and it is still the same.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I tried to play Plants vs. Zombies

i have had the same issue. played the game last night and now it is not working.
it says to put in key.
thats already been done.
it says no internet...not true.
is there any fix to this???????

Same issue. Had it for years and this week it started asking for a registration code, which it won't allow me to enter.
I got on with support and they walked me through clearing the cache, repairing, and reinstalling the game. No joy.

Hi,
the game does not start since changing from Origin to EA-App.
Now i have a complete new computer with Win11 and freshly installed the game via EA-App and it still does not start.
The Error is on german but it is something like "PVZ GotY can not be activated for this Origin Account on this computer"..
Then it provides a button for the serial number but pressing it says i have no internet Connection..i added the game to the library via a complete new serial number for this game but still does not work.
As mentioned in another thread i delete the content of "C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services" and repaired the Game and restarted EA-APP but the problem persists..
Any additional ideas?

Hey @killemall74 , this error has been investigated for a while, it's generalised and teams are looking into it. Sadly there isn't much we can do except waiting for a fix to be deployed ☹️
