[PC] PvZ Error Writing User File

Hi, i have major issues with my regular plant vs. zombies game. I cannot play the game, this pops up efter 5 minutes (see attached file - image)

I have tried three times today to get help from different ea advisors, however none of them seems to know what to do and i genuenly just want to play my game that i've had for years, but i'm not able to. The last one of the advisors thinks it is a bug on my behalf, however i haven't had any issues before, but today i've had several different issues:

1. I coudn't launch it because there was an issue with my liscense or something, then the advisor sent something with liscense that made the game launch - continued to issue nr. 2:

2. I could launch the game, but now this thing pops up (the file attached - image)

What should i do.

Hey, I wanted to follow up on this thread to see if you continue having issues with the game!

    Cheers!

  • Yes I am still having issues I need my plants vs zombies data deleted from ea, as uninstalling and reinstalling as well as repairing the game does not work. it is NOT garden warfare.

@tbfpux27812k I had the account reviewed and they didn't find much. For this one, can you please run through the following for me and let me know if these worked.

    First, uninstall the game

    Delete EA License Files:

    • Make sure the EA app is closed.
    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
    • Enable View Hidden Files and Folders
    • Delete all files in the "License" folder.

    Please clear your temp files:

    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time
    • Into the new window, type or copy & paste: "%temp%" (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"
    • Your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
    • (If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.

Make sure the Recycle Bin is emptied

Log back in and reinstall the game

Make sure the game and the app are on the same drive

  • Hello. I am having the same exact issue as this other person, I followed your advice and deleted all my temporary files and the folder that you mentioned. It still doesn't work for me. Could you help me?

@senhor_prickles We sent this over to the team to have looked at. Not entirely sure what is causing that error. We are doing more digging into this but at the moment, there isn't a workaround to get around that error.

    Can you attach a DxDiag?

  • Hello, I have just tried this, still having problems. Error reading file when trying to launch. I will try it again.

  • Yes, I have 2 ssd's in my PC. My main drive has the ea app, as well as plants vs zombies (was told to install the game on the same drive as the app). On my other drive, I have the larger games such as Battlefield 1 and 5, which work fine. Have already checked files in the other drive that might needed to be deleted as well, still does not work
