Plant vs Zombie Shield Generator gone?

The shield generator is making the game to rely on luck
Why you say?

The RNG system suck and RNG can never be made competitive because it will always be based on luck.

For example, both team have the same unit, same damage.
Player 1 got 3 shield generator from 1 damage
Player 2 got 1 shield generator from 4 damage

This is actually brainless. The shield generator should be changed to make the game more viable instead of gambling your 10 minutes of rank gameplay that will be decided by luck.

Changing it to have 3 meters that will generate by 1 each time the hero is hit or change the system where a certain amount of damage will generate a certain amount of shield rather than using the stupid RNG system.

I once had a game where the opponent uses only 1 damage unit to get me to 13 health without popping my shield while my 1 damage unit got him to pop 2 shields, which is utterly brainless.
Gameplay has not been fun since the beginning and after I thought having the best deck would help, it doesn't because this game is based mostly on luck with this RNG shield generator.

Damage should never matter how much if shield takes one, two or three charges, because game is played with limited amount of cards so it makes no sense that player who chooses better later game cards will be punished than the player who plays his whole hand on first three turns.

How ever I think same shield charge should never appear twice a row. Or every three charges are different from each other, so it can be like this 1 , 2 , 3 , 2 , 3 , 1

You basically defined how aggro and control battle. Aggro swarms you with 1/x, 2/x and 3/x and pop most of your shields. While you can make a huge 9/x and kill them without popping a single one. Randomized block-meter is a punishing method of holding down some of aggro's action. Like it should.

And you can play around it and plan accordingly. Proper positioning is key to make the most out of popping the block at the right time with the highest chance. I'm of the opinion that brainless is your proposition as the planning is then indeed a no-brainer in a situation where every block is set to happen in X attacks instead of a place we are in now where you take risks and get rewarded or play it safe with little gain.

If block meter did not so OFTEN define the winner of game, it would work as it should. Now how ever it makes winning more luck based, which takes the fun out of game.

Besides random block meter does not punish or help vs any kind of decks.

There is a reason why this big budget game is not popular. I barely enjoy playing this, I play this mostly because of boredom since games last only few minutes. How ever I would never use money into this *.

You mean to tell me a card game relies on luck?! That's just crazy talk!

And if you think shield activations are luck, youre doing it wrong. They're just another tool in your toolbox. Learn how to force yours when you want and how to attack your lane to set theirs off before or after your heavy hitters.

But saying it makes the game based off of luck.... well it's a card game where you start with 4 cards and you have to have at least ten different cards in a deck... if you get exactly what you want, guess what it was? Luck! If you top deck, guess what that was? Exactly right, luck! This whole game is luck where you can stack your deck to help luck be on your side more.
  • yes sometimes is stupid. I received 6 consecutive attacks of 1 block in a game, on next one 5, and on next 7.

It's nice to add some luck to plays, but limit to 3 in a row or similar.
