Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 1 on PS3 EA Server issue

Question

Hey there! So recently I dug out my old PlayStation 3 and hooked it up with a working wired connection. But to my disappointment, when I attempted to launch into plants vs zombies garden warfare online an error message popped up saying “Unable to connect to EA servers at this time. Please try again later.”
I did a little research and it’s says the PvZ GW1 servers are still active so I’m a little lost. So much for some nostalgia! Anyone have any ideas? I’m desperate

I am having the same problem. I downloaded the game a week ago but still can't play.

I bought a gold membership for this exact same reason last year on xbox 360, then waited weeks to see if the server would fix and nothing. contacted ea support on Twitter and it felt like I was talking to a robot. i think they just dont care and the servers are broken. its a shame because i wanted to take some photos of my old items and emotes

Absolutely appalling that this is how EA treats their old games
