Had the same problem, except when we completed the last wave we weren't stuck in the instance but instead got picked up by crazy Dave after "getting the shoes," which the other player on my team had completed, but I had not. We recovered Dave's shoes on three different maps, including Boney Island, before concluding that the Garden Ops were bugged. The quests also interfered with raising the flag in the backyard battleground. When one of the people in my party had only completed the first quest to find the hot dog stand, instead of the flag waves being announced all it said on both our screens was "find the hot dog stand, incomplete". I am playing on the ten hour trial right now, and it is pretty disappointing to be wasting my trial time dealing with so many bugs. Hope they get fixed soon. If you need more information about the problem to help track down the issue I would be glad to answer questions.
