Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare does not run on Windows 8 64-bit

I just bought PvZ Garden Warfare on Origin for my Windows 8 64 bit PC. I dowloaded and installed it, but everytime I want to start it the screen becomes black and I get the windows-error "pvz Garden Warfare does not work". My PC fulfills the minimum requirements. I tried restarting the PC, starting with administrator rights, compatibility mode windows 7, updated all my drivers and reinstalled the game. Nothing works. Is that a known error. How to solve this?

This is a form letter.  Sorry about that.  Modern computer games are designed around modern gaming systems.  The PCs cannot play the games if they are ordinary Internet Beaters, especially the average laptop.  Those PCs aren't up to the standards set by the latest consoles.  Each game has a set of "System Requirements" that it is up to the buyer to either understand or to have a reliable adviser to turn to for assistance.  If your machine is substandard, you shouldn't buy the PC version of any game.

If you didn't take the time to make absolutely certain that you could run the game, the DxDiag reporting function in Windows will tell you what you need to know, or you can copy the report to an intermediate site, such as Pastebin, for the volunteers to check it for you.  Here is how that works, and the other games do not care that only Titanfall has such a FAQ right now.  It works just fine for all of them.

Game forums not that different from Answer HQ have existed since electronic gaming was born in the 1970s.  Personally, I've been visiting game forums for about 40 years.  I've seen a lot of people come and go, and have witnessed the failures of the western nations' education systems at first hand in such places.  When I decided I didn't want to accept the disrespect of any further volunteer moderator brickbats, I stopped being a moderator.  I also stopped collecting any series of form letters that I could copy and paste and consider I'd done what was required.

I decided to stop answering most of the abjectly ignorant questions entirely, and if a question needed answering, without having been bypassed, I made individually typed answers.   Quite often those have been very brief, and when there is any repeated problem, would read very similarly from one to the next.  The past few months, since the release of BF4 and Titanfall, then Hardline and Garden Warfare, I'm now unable to offer an original answer every time, which I regret.

    What are your system's specs?

Start -> type: DXDiag -> Save Information
    More detailed description = http://answers.ea.com/t5/Titanfall/PC-Graphic-performance-issues-in-Titanfall-here-s-how-to-help-us/m-p/2454360#U2454360
    Alternative to DXdiag method:

    Download Speccy Portable

    https://www.piriform.com/speccy/builds

Open Speccy64.exe  ->  CPU, RAM and Graphics + Driver version

You might also track down the exact error message and it's details:

Start -> type "Reliability" -> View Reliability History -> Find Crash -> Right Click -> View Technical Details

"does not work" seems like a really off the wall message.  Is it a windows error or Origin?

Probably update your drivers.  Most of the info I wanted was further down the list of dxdiag.. besides the point.  Just update drivers and see if it works.

    Tick "Clean Install"

    http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/75992/en-us

You are 100% sure it's using the 750m and not the HD4400?

(Replace BF:H with PvZ; it's the same thing)

nVidia Control Panel -> 3D Settings -> Program Settings -> Add Program (PvZ) -> High Performance Processor
