Is Origin and the game installed on the same harddrive / partition?
Reinstall Origin to the partition the game is on, re-map origin to the game install folder.
-------
Try running Origin as Admin.

Any software that might be blocking/interfering with it? Disable AV/Firewalls and test.
Origin was on the same hard drive as the game, but I uninstalled and reinstalled anyways and it still didn't work. Also disabled firewalls and tried again, still didn't work.

What firewall(s)? Bitdefender one... one guy reported he had to uninstall it.
You can try changing your DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in adapter settings IPv4.
CMD -> ipconfig /flushdns
(no clue why some people said that worked but I guess)
A chinese guy posted said this fixed it for him: (the quote I fixed a command or two I think)

Just the default mcafee ones that came preinstalled. Also I did those commands in CMD and it just ends up saying something can't be done because of bluetooth.

You can try a clean boot... might be enough to shake something if it is a program interfering

Not sure what the bluetooth error deal is.. u could try just turning off your bluetooth. If your laptop has one of those "easy" switches for airplane mode maybe would be a simple way to do it.
