I have no idea what happened but I can now lay with my xbox one wired controller for the pc. I turned off my Bluetooth and I enabled origin for the startup process on task manager. I have no idea what the fix was but it now works.

any one else have suggestions on how to fix this problem? My xbox one wired controller does not work the PVZ GW. it works for games on steam fine. I have not tried other origin games yet. I reinstalled/ repaired the drivers for my controller using the link provided earlier.

I remember someone else had this problem as well a few months ago. They had to disable something....can you disable Origin and see if it then works? Ill try to find the post
I believe what you are talking about EA_Jenni is people who use the Razer Nostromo game pad. Go to (control panel-Hardware and sound-Device manager) Look for HID-Human interface devices and disable any Razer Nostromo. The game pad will still work for everything and PVZ will recognize the Xbox controller now I had this problem with Saints Row The Third also.
- Hey, I am having the same issue. Did you figure out how to solve it? Thanks in advance!
- For me it was because I had a Bluetooth device connected so I took it off. And turned off Bluetooth and it worked. Not sure if your situation is the same though.

Go to Documents\PvZ
rename that folder to PvZBackup or something.
Run Origin as Admin.
Repair PvZ.
+1......thanks a lot....running Origin as Admin and repair game solved gamepad detect...remember,if run Origin without Admin won't repair PVZ.....anyway,now my both gamepads DS4(mostly use) and xbox360(occasionally use) works like a charm....

I haven't been able to get my Xbox 360 controller to work with PvZ on the PC even though it works fine with other Origin games. I also have a constant rotation of the view in the game, even if I uninstall the Xbox receiver. I have tried the clean reboot and repairing the game as well as disabling bluetooth on my system. Any suggestions?
have you fixed the problem, i have it now too.

I have this problem too. I have tried the suggestions made to no avail.
I find this really very annoying as I just bought the game and it does not even work with the mouse. The view in game is directly up at the sky and I cant bring the view down. I can move using the keyboard and I can shoot and zoom using the mouse buttons but not change the direction of view away from the sky. Very frustrating!!!
Also, if I push the Xbox power button when in game the game screen flashes a few times suggesting that the game does recognise that a controller is connected. None of the buttons work or the thumb pads.
I have tried both my xbox 360 controller and my xbox one controllers (wired).
Oh, I should mention that the controllers work in all my other games (including the trial of pvz gw2).
Please help!!!
