Plants vs Zombies: Heroes is not a well balanced game

Plants in Plants vs. Zombies: Heroes, are too strong. I can not enjoy playing this game if the plants are a lot more stronger than the zombies. There are legendary and non legendary cards on the plant side that are really strong.

Easy just play a deadly zombie against it.

    Plants do not have frenzy!

They are the last to play with the zombie trick (so they have control on the final output of the fight)

This is certainly helpful, but at the same time, it can often be frustrating playing a low-power zombie and then giving the plants a chance to destroy it before you can pump it up.  Plants can play tricks immediately, which has its own benefits.

They hit first (very useful in a tight game if you have both strikethrough)

Maybe it's just the decks I play with, but games coming down to which character strikes first are pretty rare.  It's a slight benefit, sure, but it doesn't affect the vast majority of games.

They have way better skills than Plants. Plants are team-up, strikethrough, and double strike (rare);  whereas half of the zombies are in graveyard, an can be deadly, frenzy (way better than double strike), and also strikethrough. Graveyard is huge advantage because plant player do not have a full vision of the game. Sometime it can be good to put a plant in front, sometimes not (if they are deadly for instance).

It seems to me that many plant players severely undervalue Team-Up (also, what happened to Splash and multi-lane attacks?).  And how in the world is Frenzy better than Double Strike?  If attacking a lane with no enemies, Frenzy does 1x damage and Double Strike does 2x.  When attacking an enemy with more health than the attack, Frenzy does 1x damage and Double Strike does 2x.  When attacking a single enemy with less health than the attack, both do 2x.  Only when there are two plants in a lane, and both have less health than the attack (and don't together kill the attacker) will Frenzy get 3x hits and do more damage than a Double Strike.

Zombies have gargantuas, there are very few card so strong in plants, plus Gargantuas are a card class by themselves and so can combine advantages!

Plus overall all the zombie card are better than their equivalent in plants! ex: min-Ninja 1/1 anti hero 3 (cost 1) vs poison mushroom 1/1 anti hero 2 (cost 1). Or compare brainy and solar class, both have the same strategies (accumulating brains or sun) but for plants you need to have sunflower that are 0/1, and can be easily destroyed whereas brainy have card that increase permanently there brain by 1.

And now you're ignoring synergies.  Yes, Gargantuars work well together, but they're also massively expensive, unless you're using other zombies to reduce the cost (and thereby deny yourself a Gargantuar in that zombie's lane). Poison Mushroom combos with a couple really good cards that reference mushrooms.  And Sunflowers can be buffed up themselves, protected, or at the very least, make the zombie player waste cards dealing with them instead of with your other plants.

At the end it is not even interesting to play zombies, you win almost every time. It is so unbalanced that much less people play plants, it takes much longer time to have an opponent when you play zombies.

Really?  My zombie decks lose far more than they win.  If you think zombie decks are uninteresting, then don't play them!  There are plenty of other zombie players just as unskilled as I am that you could easily be matched against!

Do you want to speak about the card that give all the zombies frenzy and +1/+1?

Do you want to speak about the card that give frenzy +5/+5 (and basically kill the game)?

Do you want to speak about the card that transform ALL your zombies in zombies that cost 5 brains and more? (kill the game too!)

Do you want to speak about the coach that protect from damage all the sport zombie ?

Do you want to speak about the sport mascot that give to ALL sport zombies +1/+1 per tour? (not just one time!)

Do you want to speak about the card that do 2 damage to all plants and cost only 4? (in comparison plants have a card that cost 5 and give 2 damage to 3 lanes lol)

Do you want to speak about the card that is 2/6 and give +1/+1 to all your card in your deck each time you pick up a card (the famous dino-roar)?

Come on! Zombie cards are way better.

Do you want to speak about the plant that gives the player a legendary every single time it does damage?

Do you want to speak about the environment that gives any plant played there +5/+5, and sticks around even after the plant is destroyed?

Do you want to speak about the environment that flat-out makes plants there immune to all damage?

Do you want to speak about the insane amount of reusable healing some plant heroes get, as well as cards that combo off of that healing?

Do you want to speak about all the anti-trick cards that can absolutely shut down some zombie decks?

Do you want to speak about a card that doubles a plant's health (usually paired with Pecanolith)?

Do you want to speak about the plant that can attack every single lane?

Do you want to talk about the plant that regularly turns a bunch of weak, damaged plants into double 3/3's in every single lane?

Yes, zombies have some great cards, but plants aren't exactly limited to Peashooters themselves, you know.

  • LOL , What does this post have that always come back up? this topic is from last year 😃

Well Plants can be destroyed by a zombie trick after being played AND pumped up! so I do not see where plants are advantaged there...

Team up is certainly interesting. But team-up card are rarely powerful. At the end you are only a given number of card in your hand, and it is quite difficult to have a multiple rows or plant. Saplsh and multi-lane are great but very rare compare to gravestone, deadly and frenzy.

And yes frenzy is more efficient. Two reasons: 1- if you do a bonus attack, your zombie use its frenzy ability, that's not the case with double stricke. Secondly most of the time frenzy is added to a zombie with a trick. Then, it is pretty simple for th zombie player to put the frenzy ability on the zombies that would survive the fight. Plus now, because that was not enough, apparently zombie have overshot, which is better than anything else really.

Gargantuas are not that expensive. With 5 brains you can have a 5/7 with frenzy ability. Good luck to find a plant that compare with 5 suns! synergies are way more efficient in zombies (think about the sport mascot and the sport coach! you have an invincible combinaison that gain +1/+1 each turn! Synergy of mushroom, and nuts are good, but you need to anticipate much better than for zombies, get the goo card at the righ time. And to pump your sunflower again, you need the good card at the right time.

The big difference between the cards I cite and the card you cite is that my example are common cards. The plants cards you are referring to, except the healing ones, are very rare. Yes colossal plants are good, but as well are zombies colossal cards. Common and rare cards are way better for zombies.

The only card you mention that is common is the mascot. Rarity is really not the issue
