Plants vs Zombies online safety.

Fao EA game moderators ,

My children spent their pocket money on this game, whilst out shopping with their dad. Since starting playing the game they say that they regularly hear people talking and music playing - I am assuming that this is via headsets worn by online players playing at the same time as them.

Firstly, I am absolutely disgusted that it would seem that this game is 100% online play only (and if I had known this I certainly would NOT have let them buy it), but (and most importantly) what are EA doing to moderate language used and insure the online safety of the children playing this game?

Needless to say, this will be the first and last EA game they are allowed if the game play is online only.

Yours faithfully,
C Frankland, Mrs.

It is quite clear on the packaging that the game is Online Only.

You can mute players: when you enter a game, go to the scoreboard and select Mute All - FYI, some of the most offensive language I have heard is from children playing online games.

If you do hear language that you find offensive you can contact Xbox Live (I believe it is their responsibility, not EA/PopCaps) with details of the player and what was said, however its hard to prove (unless recorded) so may not have any impact

to add to this microsoft has made it easy for parents/guardians to ensure safety online while playing a game. what switchtrix said is true if something is being said that you find offensive you may report it to the xbox live enforcement team or you can mute them all together. a more proactive option is to engage into the online safety and privacy i will provide you with all the information you need below.
