Proposition to revert Black Eyed Pea

Due to a lot of the zombie removal tricks becoming a lot stronger against even the pre-nerf Black Eyed Pea.

Every class now has a solid counter trick to him and his stats being a 2 cost 2/2, which is the same base stats as Fraidy Cat who only costs 1.

The supposed trick punishing plant now dies to every trick but nibble. Not to mention the Gentleman Zombie buff.

That extra 1 health was vital to that card and again; Trick removal have gotten an all a round anyway so it already mad it worse anyway.

  • Agreed. a pointless change to a useful figure. He only works now if you can immediately buff him. Even if he were 1/4 or 1/3 he’d be better than this.  

    Meanwhile all zombie tricks have gotten cheaper and more plentiful given the various new ways to summon a trick. It’s not like plants have a ton of ‘untrickable’ options to counter it. 

    Were plants winning so much? Based on what play test?  Now zombies are OP requiring no finesse to win with since they have so many more free draws and powerful options. Zombies used to be fun to play because they had more options to trick and finesse opponents. A smarter player won with zombies because they had the advantage of going both first and last. 

    Now I find I consistently get to late game situations with a plant hero, one turn away from a win with a significant health advantage— then the Zombie player plays a gargantuan that destroys everything in one turn. Literally in one case. But generally true for most gargs.  Plant heroes don’t really have those late game Armageddon options where the entire game is over as soon as you play it. Even Dragonfruit just makes things difficult for the opponent. But by then they’re not relying on tricks since they have the gargs. 

  • Black Eyed Pea also gets 1-shot from the 2 dmg trick making them unplayable now too.

    As a triceratops user, the change sucks and I hate it but it's partly negligible by the existence of photosynthesizer. At least that card's nerf got reverted otherwise both would be downright unplayable. I still think they should be put back at 1/3 versus being the current 1/2 especially since banana peel got a cost nerf so you only have a single 1-cost buff card for dino roar decks versus two.

    Another one that should be reverted is crazy cat lady. To me them being at 4 hp was really good and fairly balanced(?) but have them at 3 hp makes them useless as they can be killed before the zombies can play any pets excluding the 0-cost goat card. They were buff to 5 hp then nerfed down to 3 which makes no sense, should've reverted it instead before deciding to nerf it.
