The relative newness of an ordinary computer has no bearing on its comparatively low performance capabilities. Game-capable laptops cost more than average PCs of any sort; desktop PCs with gaming performance are much more reasonably priced.
WootCandy offered you a few workarounds to allow you to at least preview the game pending getting a suitable system capable of running GW2. That should mean this message thread is finished up, unless you will be getting a game playing desktop you'd like assistance in buying.
