When load up PVZ GW 1 on PC(Windows), I get the message, "Failed to retrieve your saved data!". I've tried many things: checking my router setting/restarting it, reinstalling origin and the game, looking for any file that might have the saved data on it locally(understanding that the data is stored online), repairing the game file, and just simply restarting the game.When I load up PVZ GW 2, I have no problems.I've seen other posts about this issue, but none of their solutions have worked for me.Is there anyone who knows a fix?

On March 22nd, which is when I decided to play PvZ GW1 on PS4 I had an error saying that it had failed to retrieve data.What it basically did is that it didn't save any costumizations done on your character on both plants and zombies.Not only that but everytime you would make changes to your characters and settings it will reset everytime you restart the game and/or get into a new match which means yes your sensitivity and abilities will be reset to the basic ones.Why this is the case especially for the settings is because your settings is saved online instead on your system.However! Odd enough this doesn't reset whatever you got from sticker packs so your plants, appearances, and characters are still saved which I don't know why is that the case.No, this doesn't take your online functionality away so you can still play the game!This doesn't reset your PvZ coins and ranks either.I have a 2 part youtube video uploaded that shows this in action and according to people in the comments they also had this problem on other platforms which makes me think this might be worldwide.https://youtu.be/tLDpMhTMj2Uhttps://youtu.be/MKX9dB7NpPwAnd as of March 24th this problem has not been fixed yet.This reminds me of the rux situation in pvz gw2 except that this one is just annoying.I haven't seen people shine light on this problem and I think now is the great time to do so.Update: So it appears that people are starting to take notice so I am glad! So I'm not the only one with this problem, that's good news (becasuse I'm not alone) and bad news (I mean, no one should be having this problem). Anyways... today is march 26th and the problem is still in the game, I play on PC (Origin).

I have been experiencing an issue on Garden Warfare 1 where the game tells me it failed to retrieve my save data. Upon closing the alert, the game will load things such as my rank, unlocks, coins, and stats just fine. However, the game will not load my loadouts for characters (their ability and customization sets), my keybindings from previous game sessions, and it will attempt to show me character tutorials I've already seen.

I'm having this problem as well. i'm on PS4. I have all variants but no customization ☹️

Recently On Garden Warfare 1 this issue has come up, it started on march 22nd and has not gone away, alot of people have been experiencing this issue. the error will reset your abilities and customizables, we know the game is discontinued but this stops us from playing the game so i was wondering if you know about this and if a fix will be made. in Garden warfare 2 rux was fixed so will anything be done?

I'm still having this issue on both Garden Warfare 1 and Garden Warfare 2 on PS4.
In Garden Warfare 1 the rank, unlocks, coins and stats are fine but the alternative abilities and customizations are not loaded in.
same for Garden Warfare 2.
The game says that it has failed to load and gives me the option to either say no to load it again only to fail again or to say yes and go into the tutorial level only to see that I have my rank, level, quests and currencies still there but my upgrades, alternative abilities and customizations are not loaded in too.

It's exactly the same for me, I'm still experiencing this on the PS4 edition (although I am playing the game on the PS5)

It's a good time to revive this. This issue is happening again for Garden Warfare 1 and 2. as of March 11th, 2023. On PC. Nothing is lost, but all your cosmetics on characters are reset. Please look into this, hopefully quicker than with Multiplayer being broken.

Confirmed that this is happening to be on both games on PC as well. It was working early yesterday, but has not worked since. I tried repair, restarting the app, and so on, and it's certainly a server side issue.

Hopefully it's working for everyone else now. Mine started working later on Sunday so was able to get the quests done in GW2. It was kind of nostalgic seeing the old tutorial load up when it wouldn't load the save data though.
