PvZ GW 2 Cross progression

I have a question, I currently have the deluxe version of Steam with the monthly EA Play subscription, I have my progress made there, I understand that the progress is also saved on the EA platform, or not?
If I buy the game on Epic Games, the same version, and link the same EA platform account, is the progress I subsequently made on Steam saved? Or is it not like that? I wait for a response.
