PvZ GW Xbox one--question marks(?) appearing instead of gamertags

While playing PvZ GW with my wife tonight, we noticed that about half the team on each side has a question mark instead of a normal gamertag. When I click on "View Gamercard" it says smoething like "...

Xbox Live was having issues yesterday, being unable to view gamercards would enforce that this was an Xbox-side issue. I also ran into the '?' gamertags yesterday while playing Dragon Age.
